Business First on CO 752 EWR-LAX
« on: November 21, 2011, 11:36:40 PM »
Just did my first BF flight on the redone 752. I must say it is by far the best domestic flying experience. First of all, I was surprised to see that my seats 1A and 1B had a bassinet in front of it which was actually built into the wall. Perfect for our petite 8 month old baby girl. It was deep enough for her to sit and play in it. (with supervision). Its nice that there are only 16 seats. Keeps t small and personal. Great service. Kosher meal from EWR was quite good. They even served choc mousse. The seats are great for everything. Overall, I think its the only way to fly transcon. I wish they had more flights with this plane. Looking forward to next time.

Awesome!
How tall and how much does your baby weigh (approx)?  Any pic of the bassinet?

764s are being converted to lie-flat as well.  First one flies from EWR-IAH on Tuesday.
Plus it has economy plus (91 seats with 35" and 112 seats with 31") and AVOD+channel 9 :)

Dan I knew you would be excited! CLE should have quite a few of these 752.

15lbs don't remember ht will ask mrs and post

Remember on the 752 its only seats 1A and 1B with the Bassinet the other side has an oxygen tank instead. Would be cool to know what seats on the 772 and 764 have this bassinet.

I'd have to say United PS 757 is an amazing alternative out of JFK to SFO or LAX- First class has lie flat(which they somehow put be in, on a saverpass biz reward), business is nearly identical to BF on CO as far as pitch and space between seats(and soon to be lie flat), and the rest of plane is economy plus, which makes queing nearly non-existent...plus co flies 737 on ewr to lax as well so you gotta be carefull (PS is all 757)

I'm a bit confused now. I'm planning to fly to europe for pesach. I have a 14 months old daughter. do I need to buy a ticket for her or not?

'Infants under the age of 2, traveling without a seat within the 50 U.S., do not require a ticket. All infants traveling internationally must have a ticket, even if no seat is purchased and they are traveling as a lap child'.

Does 'Must have a ticket' mean I need to buy a ticket for my daughter too or do I just need to make sure they print a ticket for my daughter ?

You need to buy an infant ticket for all international flights.  Call the airline to buy the infant ticket.

Thanks, I'll do that.
Btw, any idea if you are able to get a infant ticket with miles ? Or is that a waste of your miles?

If you are going business there have been times that the 10% infant fare costed more than the value of the miles. In which case I would buy another seat and use the car seat. Generally it is still cheaper to pay cash.

Thanks. So if I fly business, I should use my miles and if I fly economy it's cheaper to pay cash.

I thought you would pull some strings and give Rafi platinum status on DDF

If I have existing mileage reservation in biz class on this United 757 from LAX-JFK (after 6 hours from LIH), will they let me upgrade to FC for 10K miles through United if available?  Is it worth it?

I just spoke to United. They said once ticketed on mileage ticket in Biz class, I can't upgrade. Oh well...

IME not worth it anyway BTW If it would be a continental mileage ticket you would be allowed. The exit seats in Biz are unbelievable about 6 ft of legroom
