Think of Moving?

Airports:
  • CLE is about 15 minutes from downtown and 25-30 minutes from the Jewish community.  It's a focus city for Frontier, Spirit, and United.
  • The RTA (Rapid transit train) at Brookpark station has free parking and is just 1 train stop (3 minutes) to the stop inside the airport. The train costs $2.50 and the schedule is here: http://www.riderta.com/routes/redline/schedules/current#WestboundWeekday
An uber from Brookpark station to CLE is about $10.
  • Uber between the Jewish community and CLE is about $30.
  • CLE off-site parking is about $9/day, on-site parking is $17-$22/day, and curbside valet parking is $35/day.
  • CAK is ~40 minutes from the Jewish community and located nearby the NFL Hall of Fame.
  • Uber between the Jewish community and CAK is about $45.

Hotels:
  • There is a Hyatt Place in Legacy Village within walking distance of the Jewish community, though it's located just outside of the Eruv. It costs only 8K points/night.
  • There is a nice Hyatt Regency downtown for 12K points/night (25 minutes drive) in a unique vintage arcade building and an excellent spa that gives hotel guests 25% off and accepts SpaFinder certs from Costco that can be purchased for an additional 20% off.
  • The nicest hotel in Cleveland is like the Ritz-Carlton downtown. Marriott's Metropolitan at The 9 is also highly regarded, with a bar in an old vault. There is also a Hilton, Westin, and Kimpton downtown.

Transportation:
  • There is a subway/light rail connecting the airport with downtown, University Circle (where the Case campus and many museums are) and the Jewish community area, but renting a car is pretty much required unless you are just going between the airport and downtown.

True, but I'm just happy that it's around.
No idea about leases.
But my brother did drive to Baltimore to buy a brand new Elantra for just ~$10.5K IIRC.
which dealer?  I'm looking to buy an elantra, and would appreciate any leads

I think he found them via Zag and negotiated from there.
But he was helped because the Elantra was redone and they were clearing out the old ones which always lands you a big discount.

BA pro-tip: Search segments (i.e. CLE-ORD & ORD-DEN instead of CLE-DEN) gives a much better chance of finding availability.

AA only flies to 5 airports from CLE.
JFK, LGA, and ORD will be 9K.
DFW and MIA will be 15K.

Anything else and you'll have to book a separate ticket from one of those 5 airports to your desired destination.
Or use UA miles as they fly nonstop to dozens of cities from CLE.

There is but it's a hike (7-15 minutes from the AA gates depending on your pace)
You don't have an AMEX Plat to get into the Airspace lounge (2 minutes from AA gates)?

And I'm headed out for the Chaikin wedding ;)

Enjoy CLE.  How long will you be in town for?

The United club has several nice little offices that make for a great place to daven.  There's also a great kids lounge that I get to use nowadays.

Bump.

July 4th DO?

Dessert afterparty sponsored by Moishebatchy Enterprises, LLC. ;)

Any chance of this happening? Should I bother making an effort to be in CLE for July 4th weekend, or should I focus my efforts on finding a good place to be for the NYC fireworks show?
