Costa Rica ideas

Looking to go to Costa Rica for a week mid March. Primary focus is bird, wildlife and landscape photography. Is it possible to research and make arrangements myself or is a guide necessary?

Airbnb is the way in Costa Rica. Easy to travel there. Use Dollar to rent a care. Other rental cars are very expensive and come with secret insurance fees. You do need full car rental insurance since the roads are so bumpy. No need for a tour guide if you set up your plans before you go.
