1701 has a menu on their website, but it seems oddly limited for a catering menu. Hermolis has an extensive menu and is supposed to be quite good, but I wasn't sure if their fine dining was good, as their main business is more DD sandwiches and airplane catering.

I'm probably going to go with Hermolis. Thanks for the replies.

I would recommend Hermolis. They have a much broader range of dishes and loads of experience catering to hotels, restaurants etc for kosher guests. When my father was in a private hospital for a month or two last year, they supplied 3 fresh meals per day on china which were amazing - choice of at last 20-30 options per meal, with loads of variety and very carefully packaged and presented on new china. I have also had their meals in restaurants, at university dinners, hotels etc. Would highly recommend. They have an a la carte menu on the website.

1701 is now just the catering business which used to be part of Adafina deli in St John's Wood - but has since closed. They also owned 1701 restaurant, hence they took the name when it closed. They also operate the deli in Selfridges. Food is fine, but not on the level of Hermolis IMO and much more expensive.
If it's important to you Hermolis hechsher is better also- it's under Kedassia.

That's a really day. How many hours is the train ride? How many hours do you have in Edinburgh? Are you planning on starting in London a whole week? Or another destination planned?

Hope so, after POM meals those Hermolis meals were a big let down.
