Just my experience with various cards and a few ppl. When they said 7-10 (for decision, not "7-10 to receive card in mail) I never had success for approval, and they told me its "automatically" denied by the system, but when they said 2 weeks for decision I got easy approvals or after calling recon a few times. If experience matter.

You must have very little experience with Chase recon, maybe you need to step up your game...

+1, i had fun convincing recon to reconsider my application, and they pressed the "submit" button a few times only for it to go into "pending" and be declined by the system, but i after 3 times the system declining my Continental card, i waited 3 more days tried again, and the system magically approved. this is after getting the, "we will email you our decision in 7-10 days"

I wasn't approved for the other two. Time to make a phonecall... It's odd because their reasoning was "Too many requests for credit or opened accounts with us." I applied for 3 chase credit cards as per Dan's suggestion. Odd... And I don't have any other Chase accounts.
