just use the bidding option (name your own price) on priceline.com its usually the cheapest

What kind of pricing have you seen for you rental so far?

Beware that booking a prepaid car rental on Priceline may invalidate your credit card's CDW coverage.

 do you know of any CCs that will still cover the CDW when you dont pay the rental company direct, I dont and it seems when you said 'may' that infers that there are CCs that will still cover you,Id like to know which ones as I want that card

I believe AMEX covers CDW even with priceline.
