Nothing like last minute planning.

Current booked itin:
120K+$60

Su UA1507, CLE-EWR, 7:57pm-9:35pm, First.
Su SQ21, EWR-SIN, 11:00pm-6:30am +2, Business.
Tu SQ462, SIN-MLE, 9:45am-11:15am, Business.
Su SQ451, MLE-SIN, 11:25pm-7:15am+1, Business
Mo SQ22, SIN-EWR, 12:30pm-600pm, Business
Mo UA1028, EWR-CLE, 8:20pm-9:59pm, First

Problems:
1. I waited too long and most MLE resorts are booked up as are anything with points. (Or am I looking in the wrong places?)
2. 2 ultra longhaul business class flights isn't pleasant.

So my other options are:
-Ditch MLE for another time when I plan better and do SIN and insert another city, like SGN for 2 nights. Keep the SQ flights as is.

-Ditch the return tickets and fly back Saturday night/Sunday night via ICN in KE suites for ~90K UR. Though that would make for a long time (5 hotel nights) just in SIN.

Or...?

Just once you're in Singapore... If you like the long flight, if after 3 days you still have what to do stay there, otherwise go to Saigon, Siem Reap, Pnom Pneh, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, wherever

Understood, but IMHO there isn't that much to do in SIN. I wouldn't spend more than 2 days max, I think 5 is way too much. Why not go somewhere else from Sunday thru Thursday, then come back to SIN?

Or go directly to somewhere else (eg. SGN) then pay for a cheap one way to SIN, then use an open jaw for SIN-CLE.

Well the thought was if I ditch MLE that I would add SGN instead.
If I ditch the entire return, then yes, I'd book right to SGN to arrive there Tuesday and then book a one-war back to SIN on Thursday.

MLE and SGN are completely different experiences.. SGN is nice for sightseeing and can be enjoyed even when there is rain etc.. If I had some time off from kids MLE is definitely the way to go... (keep in mind, this is best season to be traveling to MLE... )

Not necessarily worth using points in MLE as the properties offering points at the moment aren't the best (Hyatt is nice but far and not best rooms based on what I've been seeing, Conrad over water villas aren't nearly the best in maldives, and hilton sucks, wouldn't pay going that far to stay in hilton)

I would personally sell some points and pay for a room. Not sure your dates or whats available, but if something was available I would opt for that..
