Available Credit
« on: March 08, 2013, 08:33:37 AM »
I have the Chase BA card with a credit line of $8,000. I spent $7,000 and change and made $7,000 in payments that have already posted. For some reason it shows my available credit as $900, is this normal? Will my available credit not be reset to $8,000 until the statement posts?

It even shows my current balance as only $1,324.78, I should have ~$6,675 in available credit.

it could take a some time from when the payment shows up in your activity until it is reflected in the available credit

Will a transaction greater than what it shows my available credit to be be denied?

I'd just PUTPAC and ask. They should be able to straighten it out for you.  Is this the first time you've paid the card? I've found with many cards the first payment can take some time to be fully processed through.
