I don't really see how s4 is much better than s3, a lot of the new features don't really work well if they do work at all.  Smart scrolling didn't really work when i tried.  The main thing is i guess higher resolution and better camera

I tried looking away to test the smart pause video feature and it doesn't work at all on the two phones I've tested.

By me it works too well to the point that it's annoying when my eyes aren't locked on the screen it keeps pausing so I shut off the feature....

Good article. I agree with most of the stuff he said. I have the same issue with the screen in the sun.

Check out this article by MG Siegler, amazing how he worships whatever any apple employee says or does, hilarious!

See how he gets all worked up on what Jony Ive would have wanted had he been able to in the past, then comparing him to Picasso, going through artistic periods in his life, quoting him word for word for what he said in a promo video, and learning it like a shtikel reb Chaim. Mocking all other reporters for thinking apple will create a "cheaper" device with the 5c. "“It’s the vivid realization of hardware and software together in one device.”" really!

He's always been a fanboy. But he's right for mocking the brainless reporters that thought a cheaper iPhone was definitely on the way.

iphone 5s vs. Android
« Reply #152 on: September 17, 2013, 11:40:36 AM »
I need some help: I'm up for an upgrade. I've been a long time iPhone user but I am hearing better things about the new Android phones. I wanted to get an opinion on iphone vs. android.

And, for those who have made the switch: what did you do with all your music from iTunes?

BTW, this is for VzW

Does the Android system sync up with iTunes if you use that on your laptop/desktop or do you just drag and drop from the actually file folders where the music is stored?

My phone has the option to sync up automatically. But it also depends on the phone you choose and their software I believe.

My GS4 is not rooted.

-Can you use your phone as a free wifi hotspot?

-Can you swap out the battery on your phone with ease so that even when you are traveling you don't need to worry about losing juice? And I'm talking about bulking it up with something that won't fit in your pocket or case.

-Along the same vein my phone never has to be tethered to the wall thanks to a dedicated battery charger.

-Does your phone notify you when your orders from any website ship and when they'll get to you?

-Can you use your phone easily when wearing gloves.

-Does your phone automatically notify you of the current traffic time to any place you have searched for on your phone or computer? And how long it will take you to get back home?

-Android's Google Now versions knows what you want before you ask it.

-Does your phone screen turn off while you're reading something. The GS4 knows when you're actively looking and won't turn the screen off.

-Can your phone control your TV, DVD, and DVR? The GS4 will learn what things you like to watch, suggest things to record, and more.

-Does your phone have a pedometer built in?

-Does your phone's screen rotate when you lie on a bed or couch? The GS4 tracks your eyes so it knows which way to display.

-Can you edit photos on your phone better than you can with most computer programs?

-Can you do burst shots to take a stream of photos that is sure to capture the very best image?

-Can you swype to type without ever lifting a finger? Or use other awesome 3rd party keyboards?

-Can you do a split screen to easily use 2 apps simultaneously thanks to the large 5" screen?

-Does your phone have a stunning 1080p screen that is a pleasure to watch things on?

-Are all of Google's awesome services (Gmail, Maps, Translator, Calendar, etc.) seamlessly integrated?

-Do you have an SD slot for cheap extra storage and the ability to store apps on the SD card as well as backup files to SD? Do you even have a file manager?

-Do you have to convert video files in order to get them to work?

-Can you share contact info or files with another phones by just touching their backs together?

Can you look at a picture and instantly drop it onto Dropbox, Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, Gmail with just one touch?

-Android widgets. 'Nuff said.

The S4 does that and a whole lot more...

What does iPhone do better? Sure it's "simpler" but anything without all those features will be simpler. With 2 weeks practice you'll never look back...
