Please accept our sincere apology for your recent experience with a canceled order on elizabetharden.com.
We would like to provide you with an explanation of the events resulting in your canceled order.
Elizabeth Arden ran an UNTOLD sweepstakes several weeks ago in which the winner would win a "$100 Shopping Spree." The sweepstakes code UNTOLD was created for one-time use solely by the winner of our UNTOLD sweepstakes. The code was neither advertised as nor intended to be a consumer-wide promotional code. Prior to providing the code to the winner, this code was posted on various public websites without the authorization or approval by Elizabeth Arden.
Immediately upon learning of the unauthorized viral release of the code, we directed our service provider to shut off the code. This resulted in the cancellation of all orders using the unauthorized code UNTOLD.
All cancelled orders generate an automated message that includes a "no inventory" notification as that is typically why cancellations occur.
Unfortunately, this automated message added to the confusion. Once we realized the confusion, we sent a second email advising of the reason for the cancellation: an invalid code.
Please know that we immediately contacted your financial institution and associated authorization charges have been released on your cancelled order. Each financial institution process time and requirements may vary for your refund.
We truly regret any trouble this has caused you. We value your business and would like to offer you 30% off your next purchase valid through December 31st. Your personal code will be sent to your email address within the next few minutes.
