Thanks. Is there a way to use it with the wild card feature?
I don't know offhand but it's worth a try!

Got it. You put the * where its pulling the criteria from. Also you don't need to put = before the criteria. (the ' gets put in automatically)

Sounds good! I was playing around with it and at some point adding the = helped, but maybe it was something else that it needed really

Oh
It means that the column to sum is the 3rd column in the range (1st argument)
Is there a way to make it that if it says apple, green apple or red apple in the first column it won't count orange in the second column (in the same row)?

pretty sure it won't... since it's already counting that row due to the orange. It won't count it twice.

in the same row? in my testing it doesn't. It's adding up all the values in C where the row meets criteria

It's counting it by me. There's 2 different criteria and each one is being met.

I'm curious to see a screenshot and try to replicate it

All dates in June etc. Thanks

What I would do is make a DosMonth column that formats date date of service by yy-mm (this sorts well) then Add a DaysToPayment column that is date paid minus date of service (format as number to get how many days later it was) and make sure there are no negatives if it was paid early.

Then create a pivot table where you group by DosMonth and average the DaysToPayment formula column.

Ask chatgpt. It's amazing when looking for formulas. Sometimes it needs more than one try, but in the end it responds with a detailed formula or process
