Blackberry trackball help.

I need to fix my BB 9000's trackball. I'm out of warranty. Can anyone recommend a good place in Brooklyn? The cheaper the better.

I dont have any experience with the track ball on the 9000 its a little newer than the older curves. When I had a trackball device I bought a 10-pack on ebay and switched them almost monthly.

How difficult is it to change the trackball? i have the 8330 curve

I had the 8330...It is simple, I used to constantly have to change them so i bought a 5 pack on ebay for cheap. I advise you to watch a youtube video or something to understand what I am talking about but when switching it take note when the ring come out where the  "prongs" are, as in 12 3 6 or 9 oclock position...and make sure when you put in the new one you do it the same way because those pieces are delicate.

On the older models up to the Bold 9000 you can pop it out yourself. With the 9000 you can't pop it out, the whole section around the trackball has to be taken out professionally.

yeah..that is what I was  worried about it looks different, I think the Tour is like that.

Hence the name 9630

Would replacing the trackball stop it from getting stuck? Every so often it gets stuck and i wont be able to move it in a particular direction. Wouldnt just cleaning it out do it or would a new trackball fix it completely?

Sometimes cleaning it does the trick, sometimes it must be replaced....a good cleaning never hurts.

Just to note for others who may have this issue, I found a place on 53rd St bet. 12-13 ave in Boro Park called Yoni Electronics. The guy charged $25 to fix it and so far so good. The guy is very busy and looks like he really knows his stuff.
