I would say about a year or more but you can always call (YMMV).

Sorry I am getting threads mixed up. Backdating for AU's has stopped (year+) AFAIK. Backdating for adding another Amex card to your collection should work. You can call to get the AU backdated but it is not easy. I am sure some members must have some recent data points.

Yes, exactly. This was the nature of the discussion we had back in July. I said that backdating for AUs is officially stopped. Backdating for primary card holder should still work.
