Sometimes, you pay $450 for a credit card that gives you lounge access, and you get the most value out of the superior customer service offered in the lounge more than the lounge itself.
Just saved $131 on an upgrade to almost a full route of MCE.

Yep, I've found AAdmirals club agents to be very competent with doing small things, almost always able to get an exit row or extra legroom if it's available.
