because they did charge me, but then refunded me. So when i provide a copy of the original charge, they'll probably just provide a copy of the refund.

Why are you disputing on your card shouldn't your friend be the one disputing the charge?

ETA: Don't know if this will work but what about putting in custom filter to find just the charge and make a screenshot of that? or at least check the statement maybe the actual page that the charge is on is separate then the refund...

my friend is disputing the charge not me, though the hotel offered to change the CC so if Chase isnt copperative I may just change it to one of my amex's

Ok I think I just figured it out, they want your card to see that someone else already paid for the room.... Was really confused there.

Do they know that it was a BRG?

where do you see a false claim?

You are disputing the charge because it is a BRG,  yet you didn't tell them it's a BRG. Seemed to me like Chase assumes that you were double charged and that's why you are reluctant to send them the statement

Incorrect.

A. Friend was there when I checked into hotel
B. My card wouldn't go through so after having the desk agent promise him the room was already payed for, friend gave cc for incidentals
C. Friend got charged for full amount of room
D. Friend disputed charge and Chase asked for proof that room was originally payed for

He was told that his cc was only being used for incidentals, then the hotel charged him the full amount.

I stayed by the hotel and they required a cc for incidentals, Mine wasn't on me, so a friend that was with me provided his card

Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm not trying to attack you at all in the full picture it doesn't matter which actually happened but you should make sure you stick with the same story when talking to the cc company
