Here's my issue,
My hard drive broke and I'm trying to restore my QuickBooks file on my new computer,
I have a backup (QBB) on my flash drive created on 3/7,
After creating the backup (back than) I sent my company file to my accountant using an accountant copy (QBX) and my accountant sent me back a file with accountant changes (QBY) to import,
So I now installed QuickBooks on my new computer and restored my backup file I had on my drive, I then tried to import the QBY file but I couldn't since my backup was from before I sent the QBX to my accountant,
So I tried to create now a new QBX file and then import the QBY I received back than from my accountant and I got this error;
QuickBooks cannot import the Accountant's Changes. Possible reasons are:
You have the wrong company file open.
You removed the Accountant's Copy restrictions from the company file.
Is there anything I can do?
TIA
