looks like my host doesn't let me upload such big sql files. I'm goign to try and do it over Shell.

Why don't you get a MySql GUI tool and do it that way (I like to use SQLyog)? It'll definitely be easier than going the phpMyAdmin. You might have to enable Remote MySql for that to work.

What does that do? Is it better than just using Putty?

I've never used Putty for SQL, so I can't comment on which is better. I just really like the GUI part, and that with a couple of clicks you can copy from one database to another (as long as they're both open in the program)

I have a paypal link that is being used within my website admin to generate a paypal link for the customer it supposed to look like this:
https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?business=paypal@domain.com&cmd=_xclick&currency_code=USD&amount=100.00&item_name=test

But when I save it it becomes this:

Basically xclick&currency_code becomes xclick¤cy_code with this ¤ funny symbol

Me, but the link as is is saving incorrectly even without generating anything, probably some sort of php error

It seems like it's interpreting &curren as HTML (http://character-code.com/ search for "&curren")
