But what I'm saying--and I thought it was pretty clear the first time--is that spouting off that "there is no secret here" when in fact others are representing that they do *not* know what the underlying purpose of the question is seems like a jerk move to me.

Basically - people see that there IS a trick that has to do with a UA travel cert, so when you say "guys, there is NO trick here" you just make them feel even more stupid.
