Let's try quick and almost real time TR.
I had a meeting in DC yesterday and today, until noon. My son (yes, the one who saw toured the AMS red light district) flew BOS-DCA (US, 4500 Avios) this morning and we met at his gate. We spent an hour in the Admiral's Club.
(they also had a nice looking spread of non-kosher stuff).
Our DCA-CVG flight was on an Emb RJ -- first time for my son, so that was kind of fun. The whole gate 35X process is not fun (escalator down to Dante's 6th or 7th level, then a bus to the plane) but it was fine today. I imagine it's pretty nasty in bad weather -- be it heat/humidity or snow.
In any case, Uber from CVG to Hyatt Regency. I don't have any status so they didn't give any breakfast. I wasn't expecting it. The room is nice. It's an award room, 7,000 IIRC. Someone asked for pix of our last stay at Hyatt regency London, so here are a few pix. Nothing special, but very nice, clean, new-feeling.
(extra credit if you can figure out what is on the bathroom counter).
About 20 minutes after we got to the room, someone delivered a nice welcome gift from the manager.
it is not as nice as what we got in London (that was a bottle of nonK wine and nonK nuts/candies), but I still appreciated the sentiment very much. It Is rare to be appreciated and valued, so I still get a kick out of it.
We're planning Indian food, ballgame, and ice cream this evening. I will try to post as it goes.
