No one is providing broadband to a small city by tethering a phone.
A small city with a population of 150? If each person uses 13.5GB of data that's about 2TB, I don't think that it's so far fetched, especially if the other option is DSL
150 people thru one phone?? you wouldn't even be able to load dansdeals.com
Did you try loading DDMS on a DSL connection ? I'm no internet connection maven, but if you're getting download speeds of 60+mbps (which is normal for LTE) and spread that out to 150 users each would probably be able to get 3-5mbps (normal for DSL). Keep in mind this is totally uneducated, I might be VERY wrong.
Where are you getting 60+mbps?
No clue, apparently it's more like 20-25mbps. In that case I'll concede that it was tongue-in-cheek
In many cases LTE can be faster than Cable Internet, especially during peak times for 6-10pm when people are home from work and watching things online. It's for sure faster than DSL.
But not with 150 people going through one device.
True.
Page plus announced that the $40 plan will include unlimited date. You can switch over.
1.5gb at high speeds and the rest is throttled
Yeah, I think I'll stick with TMO. Currently paying $200/month for 10 lines with unlimited talk/text/data, 2.5GB/month LTE per line.
