Purchased these a couple of weeks ago - bought them at $49.99  now at $39.99

Not such a price break but they are great speakers for the price

I got this a few years ago (4+) from Best Buy, don't remember how much I paid, but I'm very happy with it. $29.99 (down from $49.99)

Seems quite clunky for Desktop Speakers unless you need high fidelity sound. Also, does that pod just 'get in the way'?

I keep the subwoofer under my desk, the speakers are behind my monitors and the pod let's me control the volume, it isn't in the way at all.
