why is that forcing you to keep the card open?

Wow. Duh. I'm an idiot. Obviously. Sometimes juggling so many cards can be confusing.

most couples don't both spend/apply the same amount for both.
That's upsetting to hear

I hope to put my list on writing one day. But for now, it seems from this thread that I missed a thread on chase churning stopping to work, or at least not as much as it used to. Any reference on where I can read up on that?

I have not really come across this yet as I have been able to get waived what needed to get waived but thinking about the cards I'd keep if I couldn't get them waived:

Card -- Annual Fee -- Rationale

Chase Ink Plus                 -- $95       -- 5x
Amex BCP                        -- $75       --6% cb on 6k
Amex EDP                        -- $95       -- effectively 4.5 ppd on first 6k
Amex Starwood                --$95       -- in order to have the currency live but will watch the program closely
*(AMEX Hilton Surpass       -- $75       -- $40K spend = DIA status)

*in parenthesis because it is my first year with it for the sign up bonus and am matched through 2017 w/ diamond. Might be something I close and get my wife in 2017 and then keep around post-match.

All out = $360 ($435 w/ Hilton)

[BCP/EDP is in the context of certainly profiting > then AF if not maxing out completely.]

Seems to be an interesting thread. I am new to "playing" with credit cards and would like to make the most of my spending. Anyone can direct me to a thread where I can read up more about my credit card options and what I can gain from each of them?

Inks
CSP
SPG Personal
SPG Business
AS Cards

These are kept open & AF paid for more than a few reasons. I pay the AF on these only after trying a few times to get it waived.

Can't speak to others, but I'd say $50K?
