Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Can anyone confirm that I can get CPC by being a joint on a safe depost box of a CPC member even if I am NOT his family?

It sounds that way from what Dan wrote here, but I haven't seen anyone else mention about this working with non family members

"If you have a family member with CPC they can also make your account have CPC status. If you share an account or a safety deposit box with a CPC member you’ll also get CPC status."

http://www.dansdeals.com/archives/93928

(I sifted through about 20 pages couldn't find this mentioned here)

I applied on 8/23 and got rejected due to 5/24 (approved for 2 other cards on that pull and may have maxed out my CL with chase, as one card got 25k and other only 5k.) How long due CPC privileges take to kick in? IF I open a joint checking with family member who is CPC today- can i call RECON 2nite or tomorrow which is before 30 days?? Will they pull credit again?and what are my odds? TIA

Update: opened a CPC checking at 6pm, called Recon at 9pm and they were bending over backwards to help get it approved. I did offer to move over credit lines. World of difference from my original call to Recon 3 weeks ago where they shut me down immediately. Thabks e/o for ur help!

Are there any reports of people having issues with chase with adding authorized users just to transfer points on a personal card?

In NY people who take the train spend around $200 per month

30 day unlimited is $116.50. I should hope you're not spending more than that.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.
