Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

People say CPC is starting to be less effective, and they're asking for evidence of CPC eligibility. I wonder why.
Why? Because of things like this https://thepointsguy.com/2016/09/all-about-chase-private-client/

Was declined due to 5/24 two weeks ago, applied for CPC by agreeing to transfer funds from savings to investment accounts, then banker successfully got approval for card. Was overnighted, and metal card arrived! guess they're back in stock...

Maybe the baby but not the toddler too...
Just bring along some crayons
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

"Reserve was expected to attract a slightly older customer, but Chase says the majority of applicants have been millennials".
Great article, had to pull that sentence out :)

Good morning.

1) The blog I read seem to indicate that only family members of CPC's individuals were able to get CPC status if they opened up a joint account together; my banker said you can open up with anybody that has CPC status.

2) the blog mentioned you need to open up a new account; my banker said you can add a CPC individual to your existing account.

3) my banker I believed said that any amount in the new joint account is sufficient to trigger CPC status for you.

still good morning?

Don't assume that bloggers know what they're talking about.

Dan wrote it clearly on DDMS

if you are referring to this it does not say anything about non-family members nor that you dont need a minimum  when adding them on as a joint owner nor that you can add them on to any of your existing accounts

"If you have Chase Private Client (CPC) then you can get approved even if you are over 5/24. Officially CPC is intended for people with $250K with Chase, but a banker can give anyone Private Client status, especially if you promise to move funds from another bank to Chase. You can also share CPC status with family members.
Reconsideration is generally willing to overlook 5/24 for CPC. Private Client bankers can also call reconsideration to push for an approval."

You know what ?, you're right, it wasn't clearly written for everybody to understand on DDMS .

I was totally wrong  for assuming what's considered  clear and what's not . I guess I just talk a different language .
