Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

You called 8774709042?

May be better to just let it sit, though. Only problem is travel credit.
Called reconsideration and was transferred.

I'm officially under 5/24, but not officially according to Chase terms.

Could logic overturn a 5/24 ruling?

Hoping it could still happen.

How did you pull that off? Mine is still being handled by verification. They also said no expediting it.
The verification was done on the phone, nothing major just going over some personal info and then income. The hard part was why do I want more credit you have enough etc. Finally the rep agreed to shift a few thousand dollars in credit from an old freedom card to open the Reserve.

What do you mean by chase's terms? How many cards opened in the last two years are reporting on your CR?

If I go by the literal date, it's 4, but Chase goes by the month. Early december 2014 was the 5th account and now it's under 4.

But you have to wait for the following month, since it doesn't go by the actual day.

But technically it's been 24 months and 6 days since if you look at it in literal terms.

I was under 5/24 on December 2nd

ok but since you are applying for a chase card, you go by their rules, and you are 5/24 for the next few weeks
chase doesnt see that your first account was 12/2, so they round up

I'm hitting a brick wall, regular reps say they can't change it earlier at all and supervisors are saying they need 25 days.

If all else fails, u can push it forward a month. It may trigger a DEC statement also. I may be dead wrong. This is just a theory

What made you think that would work?

Idk. Just that it would be weird for you to have a billing cycle consisting of close to 60 days...

Could be but I don't think it'll cause it to force a December statement.
