Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Not all the reps know you can move it not sure it's possible it's too late but I believe someone just reported sm was successful after a phone rep said they couldn't do it

I just signed up for this card. My first closing date is Jan 3rd, does that mean I can't take advantage of the $300 for 2016?

Try to change it to December.

I tried today. Even some to supervisor. 1st thing he said was I know you want to change it b/c you want the travel credit and I was like nope, it's for tax reasons. He tried but said computer won't let...

I got that also when trying for my father. Then he told me that they just told him randomly last week that it was changed but not what date it was changed to, I'm gonna call soon to find out, weird.

Try to change it to December.

I just got off the phone with a supervisor. He said it's not possible. I explained to him that I have many business accounts with chase. He didn't care.

Probably at the point of no return now with changing the date.

Could be, they've been saying it's not possible all along though.

I converted my regular sapphire to the reserve card 3 months ago and I haven't been charged the annual fee yet, anyone know why not? I assume they will just wondering when.

I applied when the card first came out, denied 21-in 24 :) tried a branch, no preapproval,  and just stopped in again today- had a pre approval applied and got 35k credit limit!  NO CPC. (I think this is old news, but just reporting) payment due date of 2/2

thats not a problem, the whole problem is they cant make a statement close with less than a certain amount of days. so if you got the card 2 weeks you wouldnt have a problem
