Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

you most probably don’t read DDMS

Took a while for me to figure out what DDMS was (been away from the forums for a few years...probably since Amex plat cards stopped being churnable).

I do read DDMS multiple times a week (and multiple times a day on occasion), but I must have missed that May 6th post.  Heh, I was wondering why there was no recent chatter in this thread about it.  Makes sense now.

Sorry about the waste of bits.

I downgraded my CSR to freedom two months ago, 2018 TC was applied already to my card before downgrade, I am considering to upgrade back to CSR due to unexpected travel plans, will I receive another TC along with the AF?

Has anyone had an issue using the CSR in Europe due to chip and pin? I called Chase and they said they don't have a PIN to give me, and I should try to bypass the PIN prompts. Does anyone have experience?

i used plenty of times my CSP without any problems.
I don’t remember if I needed a pin or signature.
But I think if I’m asked for a pin I use my chase pin.

How long does a PC from FU to CSR actually take? A rep told me "1-3 business days". Does anyone have experience with exactly how long it took?
(I'm specifically looking to take advantage of their 1.5 cpp redemption on UR, and want to know how long in advance I'd need to set up the PC.)
TIA!

Does anyone know what these upgrades to the UR travel site will be? Chase sent me a mailer that made it seem like they were adding a travel partner to transfer point to. They also sent me this SM: Coming soon, we'll be introducing exciting improvements to the Chase Ultimate Rewards® site, including new air and hotel packages, more flight options, new last-minute and seasonal deals on hotels, and special gift card offers.

We appreciate your business and hope you continue to enjoy all the benefits your Ink Plus card offers. If you have questions, please call us anytime at the number on the back of your card.

Sincerely,
