Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

I was actually able to get $150. Not too bad. Wish it was more.

How much had you spent on the CSR over the past year?

Not a ton. Mainly use it just for travel and restaurants

Same, automated system said it was down due to technical difficulties.

I meant that the representative wouldn't offer me anything.

I have this card for 4 years If I use pyb for annual fee get the $300 credit and then downgrade will I get the $550 back as a credit  or check?
Bump, I think essentially what he is asking is can you still double dip.  This question came up right when the card was opened.

My $300 travel credit turns over tomorrow and I've managed for the first time ever to have a balance. It's usually depleted after a few weeks. Given I have no travel plans in the near future, what is the best way to deplete this?

You have to call them to have them add it manually. It has been like that for quite a while now.

I downgraded my CSR in August to be able to apply for the CSP.

Can I upgrade back to Reserve already? Or can I upgrade the CSP that I got the 100K bonus this summer to a reserve card? I need to book travel and time is of essence...

Also, how quick is the upgrade? I wanna be able to book travel @ 1.5 instead of 1.25 but Im afraid tickets will run out. Its for Lag Baomer

Are they actually adding the card so in future it will be there, and you won't have to call?
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

No. they just transfer for you. It doesn’t stay saved online for future transfers. It has become a nightmare to transfer UR to UR even between your own cards.

I Used PYB for the annual fee - downgraded the card to a freedom and my new card now shows the annual fee credit of 550.00!

Not all Airbnbs have cancellation penalties.
Is there any reason to be worried about having a credit balance in the thousands?
Is it any type of shutdown risk to have a credit balance that large?
