Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Should've asked to move credit from your other cards for approval on the spot.

Ok, will call back.

some how I think he might be serious  :o
I'll admit, he sounds serious but how in heavens name would opening a credit card get you a checking account?

You mean you put your debit cards through the toasters right?
Yes. A lot of dough went up in smoke.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

how can I check if I'm over 5/25?

I have no idea where I am up to

Go to experian.com, select file a dispute, enter your info, and view your report. More reliable than CK (which should be good enough for this in my opinion, but you seem skeptical) and should be faster than annualcreditreport.com.

If you would only have a crack snorting emoji as your signature, you would know such things.

I tried that and it still went into pending stage and needed to go to verification dept.

I believe verification is something else. FWIU, Henche's issue was his large CL with Chase.

So if not CPC, no pre-approvals and over 5/24 better to apply in-branch or online?

I've had a "unsatisfactory relationship" with chase for a year and a half, they wouldn't budge to give me a credit card, I became a cpc and applied in branch (without a pre approved) called recon and explained why I had a bad relationship and was approved (I'm way over 5/24)
Dp for those that are in a similar situation as me.

He said its being reviewed.
I'm asking if anyone has more data points. This thread is very active and there are people that are posting in this thread that haven't posted anywhere else so I'm trying to get dp's. That's why I wrote clearly what I'm cross posting.

Called back recon. Said that it was sent for manual approval because I have >100k credit with chase, and that it was manually approved, so now is sent for final approval and I'll be approved in next couple weeks.

If the above sounds funny, it sounded funny to me also.

Called back. Asked to move credit instead. Transferred to verifications, and approved.
