is there a comprehensive thread anywhere on different ways to meet spending thresholds ?

i know of AP, but not much else, was wondering if they were all in one place

I did a 3 browser method today with AMEX for the Mercedes-Benz platinum, the Starwood card, and the Delta skymiles card. The first two were approved instantly, with the Delta card I received a message to contact Amex because they were concerned I was submitting duplicate applications. I called and told them this was not the case, that I really did intend to apply for all three cards, and they sent the Delta through for consideration. Will this result in another hard pull, or will they use the pull done for the first two cards?

I'd bet it will result in 2 hard pulls. If they don't make a decision today you can assume they'll take a few days then pull your credit a second time to make the decision.

I dunno, he may be. As I said above, it could be 3BM for AmEx doesn't work anymore (hate to be chicken little and all, but until I see reports that someone has done 3BM with 1 pull, I may have to stick to 2BM for AmEx).

This whole "we'll give it a week and then review" business is messing with the game.

i did 3BM june 4th and got one pull

That was 3 months ago... I've read 3-4 reports in the last couple weeks on this thread alone of this new tactic...

i cant remember i feel like 2 were instant and one was a day or two later but cant remember

OK I'm thinking that instant approvals all go on the same pull and anything that goes through days later will be on another pull. So if you got all 3 instantly you would only have gotten one pull.

Sorta agree with that rationale. When I Did a 3 BM with chase ,first card got immediate approval , second next day thru recon Moving CL around , I got 1 pull .

The third card that was discussed back and forth before CL was brought over from BIZ side , being approved a week later caused a second pull .

All cards were personal.

Are both pulls with the same agency?

My recent app, 2 were instant, one was a few days later and I only have one Ex pull.

Are there any public offers for the Freedom card above $100 (10,000 points)? 8 months ago there was an offer for 30,000 points available to the public but that seems long dead, and at the same time there was an offer for 25,000 points that I can't find anymore.

try reading thru the chase freedom thread it might help you, if you end up applying for it let us know if you managed to get 30K points from them

some people have had sucess getting matched to 30k but very YMMV
