If you dont need points right now, then may be waiting for AMEX summer promo might be a good deal. I am not sure if they will bring it again this year (they have for the last 2 years). I I bought 100,000 miles for about $567 using AMEX card.

The points never expire, why bank on them coming back like that and you getting the package if you have a 100% offer?

I already have over 260,000 points, and I dont use them much, so I am still debating if I should buy more points. I agree with you that these never expire, but I am just reminding everyone about MAY BE another option coming in summer.

Is there any advantage of buying these bonus points using IHG card?
