I was told by a rep that it's 180 days. I canceled 4 months after the AF was billed and it was automatically refunded.

FYI - hardly use this card and followed a blogger's advice to call and ask if there are any offers on this card.  Got 9K for 1500 spend in the next 3 months.  Thought it was a good deal.

9k is the typical retention offer.

So you weren't looking to close your account, it was just idle for a while?  How long (typically) does your account have to be idle for them to consider making a retention offer?

Not sure if this is the best/easiest option, but create a new account and then call BA to merge.

IIRC when I signed up for a BA card they created an account for me and emailed me some sort of pin automatically.

Maybe check email/SPAM?

Yep- just checked. Got an email with the subject "Your Executive Club PIN"
