Whatsapp has its own backup.
Settings/chat settings/backup conversations.
Not sure what it has to do with Gmail though.
For general backup I use Titanium
For Titanium we need to root ?

Either way it won't help him read his whatsapp messages in his Gmail account. Though with Titanium you can have it send the backup file to your Dropbox, Box, or Drive account but I don't think it's gonna be readable but CMIIW

Your welcome and yes I did.
You gotta figure out how to force the backup maybe force close the app and then try to backup. If it works it's still too many steps :-\
Other than that issue it's a great app.
There are a few similar ones so maybe someone who has another one can try it on theirs and report here.

The stock dialer is accessible through its own widget as is the other dialers. I just removed the stock dialer from my app tray on my main page, and replaced it with the widget of the other dialer.

I just switched to a Galaxy from an iPhone. What is the best keyboard to download. Also what's the best Jewish calendar to integrate with the system one?
If you have any questions please search and then ask. PM me for detailed help.

Welcome to Android!
In regards to keyboards, if you ask 3 different people you will get 3 different answers :)). Many here use Google Keyboard and are very happy with it. That keyboard is not available for my phone and I personally use SwiftKey which is the top paid app in Google Play. However many others here swear by Swype saying it kicks SwiftKey any day! For me the decision to use SwiftKey over Swype has more to do with the fact that I got it for free (Amazon app of the day) than if it's actually better.
IMHO HebDate is the best Jewish calendar.
Hope this helps

If you need the autocorrect I hear that swiftkey is supposed to do a superb job.

Regarding the Swiftkey vs Swype, I find that the people who prefer SK to Swype don't usually use the "Swipe" feature, and the people preferring Swype are the ones who type primarily by swiping. But they both have free trial versions, so you can try them both out for free.

you might need the paid version to choose your country.

You could get people you trust to email you the apk of the apps you want
MyAppSharer is a great app to send someone the apk of an app you have.
I don't have a Galaxy but other androids I've seen have a search settings option. In there you can choose searchable items
