Maybe you should direct your outrage towards a figure recognized all over the world like Ivanka. I don't know much about the Torah but little I do know says she sure doesn't dress like an observant Jew. Now IMHO we shouldn't judged her or him.
You're right, no one should judge either of them for how they choose to conduct their personal or public lives.
But I'm sure you can understand why someone would be miffed at an individual *using* your community to make his work go viral while going against what your community stands for.
If Ivanka started a fashion line of her clothing calling it "modest Jewish" or whatnot, you'd understand us being a little ticked off.
It's like a relative said when Matisyahu shaved his beard, "I hope he said thank you to the beard before he cut it."
