If I use my hyatt award nights that I got through signing up for the chase hyatt credit card How can I get a upgrade, I have seen people selling upgrades, would they work?

Nope, only on paid nights and I think some ppl have said cash+points

You get the credits within 7-10 days from hitting the spend.

I have a family member that has free nights in any hyatt , when he called to reserve them for me they said its non-transferable , how does one go about , transferring , booking for someone else etc ?
and did anybody ever get messed over with this booking for others their free nights .

They book it under their name and add you as a second guest.
