Its nothing new that republicans are spineless... also there are some corrupt republicans out there... contrast that to most of the corrupt democrats who usually stick together in their corrupt ways...

Those who accuse everybody who thinks differently than them of being corrupt and spineless elucidates how low little value they assign to a possibility that isn't the first thought that poped into their head, making others not consider it particularly authoritative. As R Elchnon famously said, being unable to properly articulate a position is always also a lack of understanding it.
I was taught to ask myself if X is true, why it must be true because Y can be proven wrong. I often fail miserably, but I try to spend the better part of my day attempting to define more and more precisely and demonstrably what X is, or at least the indications suggesting each possibility. The qualities of the person who brings something up are very rarely relevant.
