If I cancel my platinum card will Iose the miles that I have in that account? Should I transfer out the miles before closing the account? The $450 fee is high. Thank you.
If you have no other card connected to the Membership Rewards program, then you will lose all your points. As long as you have an open card, the points will stay active.

Which would be the best card to keep open

I believe you do, but you gotta ask.
You can also have one of their other reward cards (ie, not MR), and the points will be kept there, and they can possibly transferred back once you get another MR card, but i'm not 100% certain.

THere arent so many MR cards. The standard Premier Gold is a good option since the first year annual fee is waived, so you don't have to make a decision during that time. Meanwhile, you can always open up more cards (I've had multiple Premier Gold cards open at the same time) to keep the clock running.l

Now I don't see the BA option at all (see attached), probably down for maintenance.

I highly doubt Amex dropped BA without any advance notice, though come to think about it they've dropped several other Chase partners, and Priority Club is ending their MR partnership as well.

Well, it's still not back, but I'd bet it's just maintenance.

Even though they dropped other Chase partners, they gave a pretty meaningful amount of advance notice (at least with CO). I'd be pretty surprised if they just cancelled the BA partnership out of the blue like that.

MR rep just told me that the promo was launched again, now June 1 - July 31.
And again with a 50% promo.

Not sure if she knows what she's talking about. Maybe she was confusing with last years promo that ran this time period. But would be very sweet if true.

Can anyone else try confirming this?

Online it shows:
1,000 Avios =
1,000 Membership Rewards® Points

I would get her to notate my account.

I can read, too :)

But you'll notice my comment was 13 minutes before Side Incomer's comment, and at that point BA was still MIA.

I would get her to notate my account.

I only see 1,000 > 1,000 - no sign of a bonus anymore. Can anyone confirm?
