NY to Montreal - last week of August
« on: August 15, 2013, 02:22:21 PM »
Any ideas of how to get a cheap flight from NYC-Montreal, maybe using miles.  Round trip from NY on Kayak is costing 650! Any suggestions are appreciated!
Thanks!

9,000 BA miles can book an AA saver flight round trip (assuming it's available).

When I try to find the flight on Ba.com (which doesnt even seem to give an option to search for points flights) I get this error message:

Error
British Airways does not have traffic rights to operate directly between these two cities.

How do I search then?

The linked information doesn't appear to work any more. Has there been any update to the way that one would book a US domestic award flight using Avios? I have searched for flights on the BA web site and under reward searches, they seem to only be searching for BA flights. Is there something else that I can do, or is a phone call my only option now?

If you have Hybrid points (chase Reserve or Amex Paltinum) you can get a better deal with points sometimes.

I have Chase Ultimate Rewards points, but I have a hard time finding anything better than 7,500 points for a one-way award ticket from MCO-NYC. I am open to suggestions.
