You can match to the 80,000. Its not a bad offer. The Hyatt card is probably worth more to most people.

Intercontinental is 50,000 a night.

Holiday Inns are 15,000. Crown Plazas 25,000. But these vary depending on which specific hotel you stay in.

many feel that the pc points are worth .06 pt therefore 60k would value 360, 80k =480, there are better offers out there

Try to get hold of a 80k link
There is also 1 free night a year if you wait out the year and then cancel as soon as the annual fee posts.
In my opinion it's a pretty good card (Intercontinental in Tel Aviv is 40k)
it CAN be done!

I thought they increased the cost of miles to .7 using the method, which would give 80k a value of $560.
Plus you get top status with them, but it appears to be quite worthless, although it may be usable for status matching.

FTFY.
Just because SPG sells Starpoints at 3.5cpp doesn't mean that's their value of that's what they're worth that on the market.  It just means they can't be worth more than that.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

spoke to PC today and they offered me to upgrade to "ambassador" (I'm currently plat) for $200
Includes a free night at any one of their hotels, guaranteed upgrades, fresh fruit, water etc etc
Anyone know if this is a worth while option (I do stay in their hotels quite often...)
it CAN be done!

I signed up for the link after an 80,000 point video. A week later I got a notification in the mail that they would be depositing 60,000 points. i called up the number on back of my car, and they matched the 80,000 and deposited the additional 20,000 points into my account.

The benefits include:
- Free weekend night
- No international exchange fees
- Free platinum status
In the past, platinum status has gotten me:
   - Free room Upgrades
   - Free WiFi
   - Free mini bar access
  - 10% rebate on points redeemed
  -  Welcome package at front desk.
