There will be deals in the future where the value increases after commitments are made. People will remember and will have no qualms about backing out to find a higher bidder. It works both ways. Loyalty my a$$.

It reminds me of the Pesach programs, where if a merchant is losing money he will certainly force you to share in the loss

Have a bit of faith in people.

There are plenty of people here who have kept to their commitments in the past even if prices went up. Obviously there will always be some people who do the wrong thing but if you have a bit more faith in people you'll live a happier life.

I have around 130-140 coins that I will have in handby Wednesday. See picture of below for breakdown. Since I have bulk I rather go through 1 person and looking for peace: $130, CC: $115, O: 110, Rest 105. Anyone buying bulk? I am in Fairlawn NJ.

If you think the buyer was wrong then you shouldn't deal with him in the future. If you would commit to a coin in the future with intention to back out knowing it's the wrong thing, that would be revenge.

i dont get it if you want to commit to sell then your doing it to limit your loss and profit
someone who commits to buying is doing the same thing
its like trading stocks with delayed delivery you cant cancel a purchase on Robinhood if it goes down before you get the stock

How much does EBAY take with all their fees? And if you have a store on ebay what's the final fees.

I see them going much more after sold on ebay...

that 75th WWII gold coin was committed by buyers for $5-7k and they honored that even tho it hit $12.5k on DDF a few days later (a buyer told me this)
i think that profit covered any potential loss for the $30 drop on these morgans....

A better idea, as someone posted recently, would be to publicize those who didn't back out (but not necessarily a list either).
I don't know any of these dealers (and I'm not one myself) and I'm not justifying anything, it's just that publicizing in this situation can be very damaging. In some cases a dealer can be at a loss as to what he should do in this situation and simply needs a bit more time than usual to respond. Either way this should be dealt with very carefully.

I am not surprised that people kept their commitments even when prices when up (I am one of them) but things may change, especially when dealing with a buying group that didn't honor their commitment when prices dropped.

It's not revenge; the rules of the game have changed. Whenever someone is about to to take a loss it is ok to force the other party to share in the loss. I've seen this time and time again.

Lot of fraud on eBay, so you need to account for those losses in your final cheshbon. I think that eBay takes 10% or so, and then there might be some Paypal fees as well.
