There's too many of them and branding is too confusing.

Brand recognition is just as important to me as taste.

the psagot and blak tulip i bought case of each and got decent deal..looking to offload a few bottles

How about a herzog single vineyard special reserve(mt. veeder/oakville)
or a Herzog chalk hill or
A Yatir Forest?

thats a lot of money to spend on the folks... A $40-50 range would be more than mine could ever hope for.

it has more to do with your finances than anything else.
It certainly is a nice gift. That being said a nice bottle for gifting can be had from 35 and up... just not AS nice!

heard of, never had, the shoham yahalom (diamond) is delicious if that means anything...(they have a choshen series with varios wines named after stones)
