I finally was successful on a 2bm for the NFL and US Airways card. This is my fourth try. Both went to pending initially, but I checked the status immediately and both were approved. The only thing I did differently this time was that I submitted the NFL offer slightly before the US Airways, but that may just be a coincidence.

The $400 NFL deal was pulled about 1 1/2 weeks ago. Anyone who applied since then will likely end up with the 10000 pts after 1st spend offer

I did a 2BM for NFL + USAir and I got approved for the NFL but on the Barclay application status page it says unable to offer me credit at this time for the USAir.

However I just received a letter in the mail from Barclays saying they can't approve my application until I call in and verify some information with them? Anyone had this happen before?

Will they try and pull my credit again if I call in?

That's what I'm worried about. The phone number listed on the letter isn't the same as the recon department though.

I froze my EX, I don't care if they pulled my TU again.

Am I able to see online if I'm going to get the 40,000 miles after first purchase? Or do I have to wait until I get my card in the mail? I know for the NFL card it tells me on the website that I'll get 40,000 points after 1k spent in 90 days.

I think you have to wait but you could call to make sure that was what your offer was

**Important datapoint just in**:

Double browser on 2 of the same US Air card resulted instant on the first and denial on 2nd (4 or 5 seconds apart, separate browsers).
Instant approval came back fast, so that is why the delay on the second app.

I called recon and he confirmed duplicate app and they won't process two identical cards and due to policy they could not approve. I probed the rep on if I were to apply for a different Barclay's card like hotel, etc if the policy still applies. He said that is ok.

So I hung up and applied for the NFL $400, why not, they already pulled 30 minutes prior. Instant approval on that with 40k confirmed on account along with my other (still open) NFL $200 account from 2 months ago and my US Air new line approved today.

This could be a game changer!

Or we just got lucky. Barclays is a pita to deal with for a lot of people.
