I substituted my request for a Traverse base model. Thanks @normathej and @Realshlomo for input. MSRP is $35,615 after freight charge. What am I looking at after tax?
And my rep still hasn't gotten back to me... did you make the change through the dealer, or your GM rep?Hope it works out well for you!
As per my Repurchase Coordinator, GM has a cap on sending checks for MSRP difference but it's not $5k. She said she has seen checks at $10k.
You don't have much too lose by tagging a car that has a 10k MSRP difference then. Worse case they deny it.
It doesn't really matter to me because I plan to flip and cars are selling for above MSRP. I went with Traverse base model at 35k. They're making the car from scratch starting September it also takes a month for invoice, I should imyh receive car at end of October.
Great plan. Enjoy the free miles now.
I'm not having any luck with getting Chevy to allow a swap - they'll only allow for reimbursement of a rental car or similar. Are they still offering swaps?
Which number did you call?

Hmmm. Was there a recall on your specific vehicle? This is super interesting.
Yes. It’s a 2020 Bolt. They said that the regional manager declined because they started replacing some batteries on 2020 models.
You can't transfer the credit, and IIUC you lose the credit if you sell the car within 3 years.
This night ruin my plan of selling my trade in car as new. I'll have to wait till 3 years are up.
Seems to me that the 2020 charge up rules required ownership / lease for a period of 2 years, not 3 like the current program. My 2 years is up in December so I’ll probably hold until then for safety.
Did you buy or lease your original Bolt? Are you buying or leasing the Traverse? In the same situation (leased Bolt) and difficult to know the options because I won’t get the numbers before I place an order.
