Great price and in the need of one.
 But skeptic to buy this vs an SSD.

Great price and in the need of one.
 But skeptic to buy this vs an SSD.

IMHO, at the price SSDs are compared to HDD, I'd prefer to get 2 HDDs (and backup everything twice) and it be cheaper then a single SSD. Unless I need it to be (more) portable or especially fast.

What I actually have is one probable hard drive with everything backed to an additional plug in external. And some stuff and USBs or SSDs

 But for all that extra work. Speed, weight, damage less prone. And smaller.

 Might just be worth it.

It depends how much data you need to store. The more you store the cheaper it is to use HDD
