Tonor is faster and a bit better. Ink is more expensive than tonor and probably get less prints vs a tonor based machine.

My mistake. I fixed that.  Ink is more expensive than tonor. That explains why ink machines are cheaper than tonor based machines where tonor based machines are
but more expensive. They last longer and print faster.

 I personally have a black and white tonor machine and a ink machine for colored. Though if you're doing heavy printing, like full colored papers, for example ad style print. Where ink is on the full page. You're going to be better off with a tonor based printer.

I just printed some ads, and the ink lasted for 93 pages before showing empty on my machine. Even though it clearly states that it can print up to 1500 pages. Again it's assuming you're printing color pages with a bit of colored ink. But for a full page of ink it's about 100 pages per color.
