Well, that's a matter of perspective. If that 2k bomb is being dropped on a bunker in which multiple rocket silos are shooting hundreds of rockets at you, I'd say that's a defensive move, no?

(And before you bring up Iron Dome, cops wearing bullet proof vests sitting in cars behind bullet proof glass are still allowed, even encouraged, to return fire, even if their gun is better than the one shooting at them. And that's considered self-defense.)

What do you think they are blowing up? There are rockets being fired from tunnels and bunkers which can only be reached with those bombs. How is that not defensive?
