Baggage Delay - Chase Shappire Rules

The claim is basically that you had to spend money buying new stuff while your baggage was delayed, so it doesn't matter when you'll file the claim. You'll not get the check anyhow before a few weeks, so there's no rush.

The rush is should I go buy stuff before I get the luggage or not.
Not how long it will take for the claim.

If you get your luggage you cannot go buy things afterwards

Most insurance companies require either the original receipts or the replacement receipts, so if you have either of the 2 you are good.

This insurance is meant that you are able to buy stuff while your luggagw is delayed, we aren't discussing insurance for lost baggage.

Delayed is exactly the same by a lot of insurance companies, including Amex, they accepted gladly my original receipts. Don't know how chase handles it though.

Well with chase its not the same thing.  The delay insurance only covers emergency items that you need while waiting for your luggage.

Although I saw the words on the T & C's the rep told me that all OR part have to be charged to the card so taxes would trigger insurance. I got them to document it and got the reps. Name and ID.

It's a pathetic insurance. $100 per pay for a Max. Of $500.  That means of you're delayed one day you only get $100
But you don't have to keep on going back every day for 5 days to get the $500. You can buy $500 and if it gets delayed 3 days for example you get $300

Bought $300 worth because I wouldn't be able to go on Yom tov. It came that day. 24 hrs. Late so I'm entitled to $100

I can't guarantee that, but if you're buying stuff anyways then you have nothing  to lose by trying it.

I checked the T&C, as an AU, you are eligible for this benefit.

Do you need to put the charges for reimbursement on the sapphire, or will any card do as long as records are kept?
