London and Paris w/kids for 3 days
« on: September 18, 2023, 07:50:57 AM »
Hi, need some advice from the Europeans here!

Coming with our kids ages  9-17 for 3 days in to London out from Paris in October.

Do we want 2 days Paris one London? Or the opposite?

We land in London 10AM, and want to see Buckingham palace, Madame Tussaud’s, tower bridge and London eye - can we do this in one day? (We’re looking to do it quickly)

And if so take train and have a day and a half in Paris?  In Paris other than the Eiffel Tower haven’t researched what the kids might enjoy seeing..

And any drivers in London with van for 6 ppl?

Thanks a lot

One day in London should suffice.

I'd take 2 days in Paris over London anytime.
Maybe there's more tourist stuff to do/see in London but I'd prefer Paris for the food alone. Endless list of great Kosher eateries!

Doing all the things you mention in London I'd say will be a bit tight (assuming you won't get into town before noon the earliest) but potentially doable depending how busy those locations are.

I dont know where tussauds is, but we did the rest in a few hours with a kid. You would not drive around city maybe just from airport to city center but i would think train is better. We did a boat ride that goes up and down the river for like 15 dollars i think, and then about 20 min walk to palace (straight walking). The walk is a very nice walk i would recommend it because it almost is as if it prepares you for the palace. Its a nice street with planted trees and you pass the gardens, etc, you get the feel youre walking to a palace a little bit. The palace itself you wont need so much time unless there is action going on.

Thanks a lot everyone. So you think no need for driver to make it quicker?

No. Also a lot more expensive. The London Underground (tube) to/from LHR runs frequently and is inexpensive.

what area in Paris should we be staying? Around Eiffel Tower or some other area that has kosher food and is nice to walk? Any suggestions?

Paris 16 or 17 is near the champs elysée and you can find allot of kosher places
