Questions and Help for BEGINNERS!

Most basic of newbie questions on redeeming points.  Just want to confirm
1.   I can not use my points to reserve a room for someone else if i am not checking in
2.  I can use my points for a plane ticket who is flying with me.
3.  I can use my points to book a flight for a family member who is not flying with me.
4. I can reserve two hotel rooms with points for the same day if i am checking in with my family that does not fit in one room.
I know there is probably work arounds for all of these but my question is on the up and up without a workaround what is the 100 percent correct answer.

In regards to the hotel booking for someone else, it usually is not an issue, but they may try to withhold benefits (if the room was booked with status).

If your referring to benefits like lounge entry, that is because there is a separate rule usually that status holder must be present for that always.

Doing research for some family members.
What point currency is best for collecting in general for award flights to Israel to/from USA. Obviously, things change every day as well as availability, but if someone was going to start collecting today and all they cared about was awards flights to/from TLV, what is best as a base to collect?

I want the HNL-EWR for return so if something opens before I get the flights there would most people here recommend to chap them?

Of course you book.

On that route you can book with SQ on UA which has a low change & cancel fee.

That is generally the rule but there are some exceptions

Don't call and explain how you went about getting the credit, rather you just want it applied elsewhere or a check.

if i just had an Amex Business offer on my social as a sole proprietorship can i apply with my tax i.d. for my other business and receive the Signup bonus again?

i have the amex plat business with the 150000 point bonus someone told me that if i move the points to my amex blue business the value of the points downgrades is that true or all mr points worth the same

All MR points are worth the same

ETA: not all Amex cards offer MR points iirc
