He also owns a grocery in Teaneck.I know him personally.
And yet he failed
He runs a very successful grocery in Brooklyn.Lets not forget were parnasah and Mazel comes from. Not always buisness 101
they did have was way overpriced with no competitive sale items to get people in the door.
their groceries weren't overpriced at all
IME it was expensive, more then GG and Evergreen but less then Seasons.
Lakewood food update -Unfortunately, as of tomorrow the *Nostalgia restaurant* in lakewood NJ will no longer be open for business .Second store this week closing it's doors in lakewood!!
Any update who is taking over the store
Sounds like it will be Aisle 9.
Honestly, I never went to the store, not even to 'check it out'. For me, I was scared off by the perception I had that there was no parking there. Don't know if that was an accurate perception or not - I may have seen it here on DDF.
For one day there was no parking but then none of those people came back again so there was plenty.
Reminds me of the famous anecdote:A yungerman went over to Rav Malkiel Kotler on the first day of the zman and complained that he can't find a seat in the Bais Medrash. Rav Malkiel told him that it's always very busy at the beginning of the zman, "but come back in two weeks and I'll find you a seat." To which the yungerman responded, "No, rosh yeshiva. I only need a seat for the first two weeks..."
Quotes in a signature is annoying, as it comes across as an independent post.
Nobody drives in New York, there’s too much traffic.
